Crash Illumination

When a crash signal is received from the restraints control module, the central junction box activates the interior lamps once the vehicle speed has reduced to 5 km/h (3.1 mph). The lamps remain on until they are switched off manually or the crash signal no longer exists. Refer to Air Bag and Safety Belt Pretensioner Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) article.
