Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
    WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding. Refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling And Bleeding .
  3. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
  4. Refer to Accessory Drive Belt .
  5. Remove the LH front road wheel.

    Torque: 140 Nm

    7. CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.

  8. Torque: 10 Nm

    9. CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

    11. CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
    CAUTION: A new O-ring seal is to be installed.
  11. Torque:

    M8 18 Nm
