Tire Pressure Sensor: Installation
CAUTION:
DO NOT use compressed air to clean sensor. DO NOT clean the sensor with solvents or cleaning agents of any type. Use a clean, dry cloth.
CAUTION:
DO NOT apply any lubricant to the new valve.
- Install a new washer and seal, making sure the valve remains pressed fully onto its seat.
- Clean the component mating faces.
- Install tire pressure sensor. While holding sensor in place, hand tighten nut. Tighten nut to 58 INCH lbs. (6.5 N.m).
- Install tire and balance wheel. When using tire removal machine, the fitting arm start position must be positioned as shown. See Figure.
- Install tire and wheel assembly to vehicle.
- Adjust inflation pressures of all wheels, and balance tires. See TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR REGISTRATION under RESET PROCEDURES.
