Symptom 000101 Diagnostic Concerns

ISSUE

Jaguar Land Rover wishes to advise with the launch of the new 2014 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and subsequently all future 14 model year vehicles going forwards that they must update any Diagnostic Associates pass thru devices "DA Dongle" and "DA-VINA" device firmware prior to connecting to any vehicle to perform any diagnostic activities.

SOLUTION

Use the DA Software Update Tool to update the firmware in the DA Dongle/DA-VINA to software version 57  (minimum) the following steps Must  be carried out in the order detailed below.

1. Connect the device to the PC via a USB cable; do Not  connect the device to a vehicle.
2. Launch the DA Software Update Tool from the Windows Start/All Programs/Diagnostic Associates Ltd/DA Software Update Tool

3. Wait unit the application recognises the Device and that a later version of software is available.
4. Click "Update Device" and wait for the message to be display in the window to confirm "Your J2534 software is up to date"

   If the DA Software Update Tool has not been installed on the PC please download and install from http://www.diagnostic-associates.com/download.htm "DA Software Update Tool Setup"

   NOTE: That the DA Software Update Tool should be installed on a PC which does not currently have SDD installed.
