ISSUE

The outer cover on the remote key can detach from the casing. See below.

CAUSE

The Root cause was found to be that anti rust oil residue remains on the supplier's tooling at the start of a production run.

ACTION

Content:

The issue is resolved from 18th September 2012. The date date code format and location are different between pre and post 12my vehicles.

Discovery 4/LR4, Range Rover Sport up to 12MY, Range Rover All MY

Discovery 4/LR4, Range Rover Sport, 12MY onwards New Range Rover and Evoque
