SYMPTOM

205000 Electrical Accessories

Concern:

Customer may report one or more of the following concerns:-

"Smart key not found" message displayed in the instrument cluster
Unable to enter the vehicle passively (Smart key not detected)
The smart key is locked in the luggage compartment

CONTENT

Cause:

Devices containing 'backlit' LCD screens e.g. smart phones, laptops (laptop cases), games consoles or metal objects e.g. golf clubs / bags, briefcases etc can adversely affect the smart key performance.

Action:

The customer should ensure the Smart Key is clear of such devices or metal objects when attempting Keyless entry/exit or Keyless starting.
