CONDITION SUMMARY
NOTE:
The following fault will only occur in cold climate temperatures of -10°C and below.
Situation: A customer may complain that the vehicle does not move when any gear is selected on initial engine start up in cold ambient conditions. Transmission fault maybe displayed on the instrument cluster message centre. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P1707-77 is stored in the transmission control module (TCM). This version has been issued to add closing vehicle identification numbers (VIN), and make changes to the Condition Summary and Service Instruction sections.
Suggested Customer Concern Code MP4.
Cause: Transmission oil viscosity at cold temperatures (< -10°C) will not allow the transmission oil pump to pressurise the transmission oil to release the park pawl.
Action: Should a customer express concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.
