SERVICE INFORMATION

Symptom 207000 Entertainment Systems

ISSUE

A customer may report a concern that after setting a screensaver on the infotainment system touch screen display, at the next ignition cycle the screensaver has returned to a blank screen (the screensaver will not save). This is likely to occur in vehicles with either a low-level or mid-level infotainment system that is NOT branded as Meridian on 2016 model year vehicles onwards.

CAUSE

Software error in the touch screen.

ACTION

For L405 and L494 - 16 model year vehicles a software update is available on DVD 146 patch 4 under special applications. For other models there is no action to be taken currently. Do not replace any components, new software will be published at the earliest opportunity and a technical communication released as appropriate.
