CONDITION SUMMARY

Situation:  On vehicles fitted with the Surround Camera System (not vehicles fitted with Parking Aid - Rear View Camera only), the camera image may be lost and a blue screen is displayed

Cause:  This may be caused by signal loss through the coax.

NOTE: LR4 and Range Rover Sport vehicles experiencing a rear or front bumper camera blue screen concern and eligible for Service Action Q179, perform the Repair Procedure as described in Technical Bulletin Q179NAS.
NOTE: For Range Rover vehicles experiencing a rear camera blue screen concern and eligible for Service Action Q140, perform the Repair Procedure as described in Technical Bulletin Q140NAS. For vehicles experiencing an issue with a camera where an equalizer kit is not available, refer to Technical Bulletin LTB00367NAS for further information.

Action:  Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION

NOTE: Do not replace all camera equalizers. Only install a camera equalizer to a circuit which is displaying no image/blue screen.
  1. Install new proximity camera equalizers, (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 418-02).
  2. Verify Surround Camera System camera operation:
    • If the image is lost or a blue screen is displayed, refer to Technical Bulletin LTB00367NAS for further information.
