ISSUE

A customer may report suspension low on one side or dropping when left parked.

CAUSE

Air leak from a front or rear air spring to damper lower seal.

ACTION

The air spring to damper lower seals have been improved and are now better equipped to deal with higher temperatures, from VIN Discovery 4 - AA513355 and Range Rover Sport - AA215660

See attachment for an example of the possible air leak path found when due to a lower seal leak.

NOTE: Front and rear air spring modules should not be repaired for air spring or damper issues during the warranty period.

For either a damper or air spring concern, the complete module should be removed from the vehicle and replaced as necessary. Only change the affected part and do not change in vehicle or axle sets as per policy letter LRHSC023v2.

Lower level service parts will remain available for vehicles outside of the warranty period for customers who wish to have a lower level repair.
