ISSUE

Methods engineers at Land Rover have recently studied the service process for renewal of the front lower arm bushing for Discovery 3/LR3, Discovery 4/LR4 and Range Rover Sport derivatives.

CAUSE

In the new procedure you are no longer required to replace both lower arm, front and rear bushings as a set. Replacement of the front lower arm, rear hydrabushes as a pair is permitted, providing the front bushings are in a serviceable condition.

Should it become necessary to replace the front lower arm bushings, refer to the procedures detailed in TOPIx, Section 204-01 - Front Suspension.
