ISSUE
Intermittent power supply at the Battery Terminals or loose power supply cable at the Battery Mega Fuse.
CAUSE
The Battery Terminals may not have been seated or tightened correctly onto the battery posts, or a bolt of incorrect length may have been fitted to the power supply cable mounting on the Battery Mega Fuse during PDI, after removing the transit relay.
ACTION
Ensure that the battery terminal is correctly located (see illustration), the battery post should protrude through the clamp, and torque the battery pinch bolt to 6 Nm (4lb.ft).
Please ensure the PDI process is adhered to when removing the Transit Relay and ensure that the correct bolts are retained for reuse. Specifically Step 2.1.3 under the Vehicle Transportation Relay section: "Remove the bolt (3) that secures the battery positive cables to the top of the transit relay. Discard this bolt. It is imperative that this bolt is NOT retained and used to secure the positive cables to the Battery Mega Fuse.
T5 Mega Fuse Connection - Correct bolt fitted, the electrical connections are secure.
T5 Mega Fuse Connection - Incorrect bolt fitted, the electrical connections are loose.
