Situation: A lower-level service repair part is now available in the event of a front sun visor vanity mirror issue.

Cause: A lower-level service repair part to be used in the event a front sun visor vanity mirror requires replacement.

Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

NOTE: Normal Warranty policies and procedures apply.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION

Using a suitable trim tool, release the four (4) clips securing the vanity mirror from the sun visor.

NOTE: Make sure to cut the wires as close to the vanity mirror as possible.
Cut the two (2) wires to the vanity mirror.
- Discard the vanity mirror.
Using a suitable crimp tool, following the instructions for wiring harness repair (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 418-02).
- Strip the insulation off the two (2) vehicle harness wires and install the two (2) electrical connectors to the vehicle harness.
Install the two (2) connectors to the new vanity mirror.

NOTE: Do not use excessive force to install the new sun visor vanity mirror.
Install new sun visor vanity mirror, pressing firmly against the areas indicated until an audible 'click' is heard.
