ISSUE
Content
A customer may report that the engine will not start and a click may be heard from underbonnet on 3.0TDV6 Non Stop Start systems only.
CAUSE
Starter motor contact resistance.
ACTION
If a customer reports the concern, please refer to Technical Service Bulletin LTB00561 for diagnosis and rectification. If after following the bulletin it is determined that the Starter motor requires replacement a new level part is available that supersedes part number LR056981 as follows:
LR066996 (3.0TDV6 Non Stop start system only).
