SERVICE INFORMATION

Symptom 404000 Fuel System Concerns

ISSUE

The engine MIL is illuminated and one of the following DTC's are set: P2401-00, P2402-00, P2404-29, P2404-2F, P2405-00, P2406-00, P240A-00, P240B-00, P240C-00, P2450-00 or P2451-00

CAUSE

If no fault is found on the vehicle having followed the latest diagnostic guidance in TOPIx, the cause may be an internal DMTL pump failure.

ACTION

Please raise an EPQR providing detail of diagnostic work undertaken. Replace the DMTL pump and retain the original DMTL pump for return. The UK factory will arrange shipping of the replaced component. Parts are only required where one of the following DTC's are found: P2401-00, P2402-00, P2404-29, P2404-2F, P2405-00, P2406-00, P240A-00, P240B-00, P240C-00, P2450-00 or P2451-00

Parts are not required from cases where only an evaporative emission code is found.
