A customer may report that the Transmission Control Switch (Rotary selector) intermittently fails to rise when the Start/stop ignition button is pressed or may rise and fall immediately, particularly where ambient temperatures are less than 4 degrees C.

CAUSE

The motor within the Transmission Selector assembly may be at the lower end of the specification preventing it from rising within the required time span.

ACTION

Where Service Action Q355 'Rotary Gear Shift Selector Fails to Rise' has previously been completed and the customer has reported the issue above, replace the Transmission Control Switch.
