ISSUE
10MY Onwards Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4/LR4 Customers may report hearing wind noise from the Upper Windscreen Area.
CAUSE
There is a potential that the Top windscreen seal has become dislodged over time causing a Windnoise
ACTION
Should a customer report the above concern then please view the attached files which detail how and where to check!
- Please note:- Before applying any of the checks detailed on the attached slides it is important to verify the customers complaint, initially cover the Windscreen Upper Finisher with Masking Tape as shown in the attached file and Road Test the vehicle to verify that the wind noise is eliminated.
- If it has become eliminated carry on with the following checks as detailed on the attached slides.
- If required seal the Windscreen Upper Finisher with Silicon Sealant - Part Number LR040765
- If the Wind noise is still evident please check other areas, this SSM relates only to the Windscreen Upper Finisher.
