Power Steering Fluid Cooler - (4.0L/5.0L): Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. Install the power steering fluid cooler.
    • Position and secure in the clips.
  2. Install the power steering fluid line and hose.
    • Clean the component mating faces.
    • Secure the hose with the clip.
  3. Install the cooler line separating clip.

    4. Vehicles with 4.0L engine 

  4. Install the horn assembly.
    • Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).

    5. Vehicles with 5.0L engine 

  5. Install the horn assemblies.
    • Tighten the 2 bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).

    6. All vehicles 

  6. Install the radiator deflector.
    • Secure with the clip.
  7. Install the coolant expansion tank. Refer to Coolant Expansion Tank article.
  8. Install the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille article.
  9. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Specifications article.
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Filling and Bleeding article.
