Power Steering Pump (V8 5.0L Petrol): Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Specifications article.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging article.
- Refer to Accessory Drive Belt article.
- Remove the LH front road wheel.
Torque: 140 Nm.
- See figure.
- Torque: 10 Nm.
- Torque: 25 Nm.
- Torque: 18 Nm.
- Torque: 25 Nm.
- Torque: 25 Nm.
- Torque: 25 Nm.
WARNING:
Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
CAUTION:
Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
CAUTION:
Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
CAUTION:
A new O-ring seal is to be installed.
CAUTION:
Fluid loss is unavoidable, use absorbent cloth or a container to collect the fluid.
