ISSUE
Content
Oil Leaking from the transfer case at the mating face.
CAUSE
Unknown currently under engineering investigation.
ACTION
JLR engineering are investigating oil leaks applicable to Magna transfer cases specific to the mating face. If you have a vehicle exhibiting a leak from the area as shown in the attached photograph, please first ensure:
- There are no previous claims relating to the transfer case where the unit could have been opened.
- The output flanges, input shaft seal and associated interfaces are dry (no evidence of a leak in these areas).
