Axle Tube: Installation

  1. Install the axle tube.
    • Clean the component mating faces.
    • Early models: Install a new O-ring seal.
    • Later models: Apply sealant to the mating face. See Specifications .
    • Tighten the 4 axle tube bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb.ft).
    • Tighten the axle tube bushing bolt to 63 Nm (46 lb.ft).
  2. Install the RH halfshaft. Refer to Front Halfshaft RH article.
