Extension Housing Seal: Installation

- Install a new transmission output shaft oil seal.
- Clean the seal register.
- Use the special tool.
- Installer, Output Shaft Seal (307-520)
- Install the transfer case. Refer to Transfer Case - 5.0L and Transfer Case - 3.0L Diesel article.
- Check and top-up the transmission fluid level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL CHECK .
CAUTION:
Oil seals must be fitted dry.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
