Transfer Case Clutch Solenoid: Installation
- Connect the electrical connector and energise the solenoid to allow the arm to extend and correctly locate into the shift fork.
- Torque: 10 Nm
- See figure
- Check and top-up the transfer case fluid level.
- If a new component has been installed, configure using the approved diagnostic equipment.
CAUTION:
Failure to energise the solenoid to aid installation of the arm, may result in damage to the shift fork once the component is installed and the system is operated.
CAUTION:
Make sure the seal is installed correctly.
CAUTION:
Make sure that new bolts are installed.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the electrical connector is installed in the correct orientation as noted in the removal step.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the component sits flush to the transfer case.
NOTE:
Tighten the retaining bolts evenly and progressively.
