Front Stabilizer Bar: Removal

    WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheels and tires.
  3. Disconnect both the stabilizer bar links from the stabilizer bar.
    • Remove and discard the 2 nuts.

    4. NOTE: RH side only.
  4. Remove the fender splash shield lower extension panel.
    • Remove the 2 screws.
    • Remove the 2 clips.

  5. Remove the engine undershield. Refer to Engine Undershield article.
  6. Remove the front axle crossmember.
    • Remove the 4 bolts.

  7. Remove the stabilizer bar bushing.
    • Remove the 4 nuts.
    • Remove the stabilizer bar clamps.

  8. Remove the stabilizer bar.
    • Remove the stabilizer bar out through the LH side wheel arch.
