Lower Arm Ball Joint: Removal

    All vehicles 

    WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire.
  3. Remove the lower arm. See Lower Arm . .
  4. Remove the circlip.

  5. Inspect the installed ball joint to determine if a radius is present.

    6. Ball joint without radius 

  6. Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.

    7. Ball joint with radius 

  7. Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.
