Evaporative Emission Canister: Removal
- Remove the spare wheel and tire.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the spare wheel and tire shield.
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe. Refer to: FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE .
- Disconnect the hoses and electrical connector.
- Remove the evaporative emissions canister.
- NAS vehicles: Remove the fuel tank leakage detection module
- Remove the 3 screws.
WARNING:
Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
