Oil Pan Extension: Installation

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

    2. CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
    CAUTION: Use only a plastic scraper when removing the sealing material.
    • Apply RTV sealant WSE-M4G323-A6 (Loctite 5901G) to the areas shown, and tighten the bolts within 7 minutes.

    3. NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the indicated sequence.
  3. Torque: 25 Nm

    4. CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
  4. Apply RTV sealant WSE-M4G323-A6 (Loctite 5901G) to the areas shown, and tighten the bolts within 7 minutes.

    NOTE: Install new lower timing cover.
  5. Install the bolts, but do not tighten fully at this stage.

    CAUTION: The bolts can only be used 3 times, mark the bolts with a center punch. If 2 punch marks are visible, discard the bolts.
    CAUTION: Install the bolts in the noted position.
    NOTE: Make sure that the crankshaft is not rotated.
    NOTE: Make sure the crankshaft and flexplate mating faces are clean before installation.
    NOTE: Tighten the retaining bolts working diagonally.
  39. Torque:

    Stage 1: 45 Nm

    Stage 2: 90°

    • Install the cooling fan belt.
    • Rotate the engine clockwise twice, making sure that the belt is seated on both pulleys correctly.
    • Remove the special tool.

  50. Lower the vehicle.
  51. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS information.
